Video Viewing Information
The video content contained on this site is hosted on a streaming video server and presented to the viewer using an embedded flash player. This approach provides compatibility with most web browsers and should provide little or no challenge to the user. The videos are very large files which would normally take a significant amount of time to download. Streaming allows a viewer to see the content of the video as it downloading. Once the video is started it should begin to play after 5 to 10 seconds.
Videos are initially presented in the media player in 640 by 360 format. Typically this resolution is not sufficient to clearly see the Dynamics NAV screens and fields. There is an icon located in the lower right-hand corner of the video player. Pressing the icon causes the video to display using the video monitors full screen. Full screen mode allows a clear picture of NAV’s screens, menus, and fields. Pressing “escape” in full screen mode returns you to a smaller window format.
The video presentations are long and packed with lots of content. Typical videos average between 45 and 60 minutes. Videos can be paused and then restarted at the point at which it was paused. There is also a scrubber at the bottom of the player which allows the video to advance to another section. Before scrubbing however, make sure that the video has streamed far enough. You can not scrub to a section that has not yet downloaded.

ISV Technical Video Information
ISV’s can submit demonstration and instructional videos as outlined on the News Page. Videos should have the following characteristics:
Video size = 720P which is 1280 by 720 resolution
Video format = MP4
Audio = 44 KHZ, 16 bit in either mono or stereo
Audio must be clear and understandable without background noise
Video must be clear and sharp
We are able to answer questions and provide limited assistance at no charge.
Recording assistance or video conversion can be obtained for a fee.
